As mentioned above all metal parts of the lamp, including the chains are made of nickel-plated bronze. The glass shades were made using glassblowing technique and as mentioned above we used colored glass instead of painting it.
Glassblowing is a difficult and tricky glass forming technique invented in 1st century BC Syria – it’s based on blowing air into molten glass through a tube. A smallest mistake may cause the glass bubbles to pop, irreversibly damaging the lamp, in which case the artisan would have to start again. In case of this lamp, the molten glass was first placed inside the metal shape before being bloated up with air.
This floor lamp is suitable for indoors and outdoors, the bronze is not prone to color-change or rusting; to boost your confidence we offer a 5-year guaranty for it.
We also offer free and insured shipping for this product, the lamp would be wrapped in bubble wrap and neatly packed in a wooden box; if anything arrives damaged you just have to take a picture and send it to us – we would send a spare part.
